I believe that Hulk comics stopped being good in 1992 since that's when you stopped reprinting them and made continuity impossible to follow for new fans who want to get into Hulk.

For new fans, they (you) should just pick up whatever current issue looks interesting to you.
But it’s beyond unrealistic, it’s literally never been true that we are somehow obligated to keep every single story featuring a character in print so that you can read the new issues.
