While I'm not going to assume anything about the specifics of the Quicksilver/Scarlet Witch parentage retcon, does Marvel really expect readers to believe that it was done for purely creative reasons and not to cut the twins' main source of ties to a property that doesn't exist in the MCU? I know there's a major PR component to your and Axel's jobs, but more candor here would be nice.
