How do you deal with the pressure to one-up the best runs on titles? Even outside all of Stan Lee's work, there are usually one or two writers who have been definitive on a character and any new creative team will have to live in that shadow. For instance, Simonson and Jurgens on Thor, Claremont and Lobdell on X-Men, Byrne and Hickman on FF, etc. I feel like Daredevil gets hit the hardest by this, with six classic runs that come to mind. Will you cancel DD when Waid leaves the book or relaunch?

You don’t really worry about it, you simply do the best work that you can. And once in a while, you’ll wind up with a Hickman FF run, for instance.
As for DAREDEVIL, wait and see!
