As much as I would love to see GRRM writing for Marvel, and hope it happens -- even if it's only to turn INHUMANS into what Marvel seems desperate for it to be -- do you think it would be a losing proposition? Even if fans love whatever title he would write, sales were great, and it was a critical success, wouldn't it ultimately be taking him away from the books the majority of the public want him to devote his time to? Whiners would hate on Marvel for providing him a distraction!

This may surprise you, but we really aren’t afraid of people whining at us. Here’s a whole page to prove it.
And, speaking plainly, it’s not the business of the Marvel Comics Group to insure that Game Of Thrones/Song Of Fire And Ice gets completed.
So if there were a project that George was interested in doing, and we could come to an agreement that made sense for all parties, we’d certainly go ahead with it.
George’s time and interest are his business, not ours.
