asked:
Marvel has some books coming out that I WANT to be "over-the-moon" excited about (Squirrel Girl, Spider-Gwen), but can you tell me why I SHOULD be when Marvel is simultaneously telling us all that "Everything" will End just a handful of months after these books start? From a marketing standpoint, it seems counter-intuitive.

Sorry you feel that way, but it is what it is.

I tend to think, though, that comic book fans should just relax and enjoy the stuff they like without being so concerned about the question of whether it’s going to go on eternally, as though that was the only yardstick to measure the worth of a particular story or project.

I don’t like Black Mirror any less because there are only two seasons of 3 episodes each (and now an X-Mas Special) nor because there may or may not ever be any more.

So if you like the look of SQUIRREL GIRL or SPIDER-GWEN, maybe just buy them and read them. Or don’t–that choice is as always in your hands. But it seems to me that denying yourself something that you might like because you’re afraid that it might at some point go away is a sad way to live your life. Everything Dies.
