  • So, I'm not going to complain about Wanda and Pietro as you've already said that their story remains to be told. What I will do is drag up a past Marvel move that reflects Marvel altering the comic continuity/status quo in order to more closely adhere to the movies without much creative justification: Nick Fury, Jr. Two question come to mind, why feel the need to mold the comics closer to the movies when they are distinct universes? Why make Nick Fury, Jr. when Ultimate Nick Fury existed?

    For the past ten years, and for the foreseeable future, ever since the end of the first IRON MAN film, Nick Fury has been African-American in the eyes of most people. More people recognize that character that way than not. So bringing in an iteration of that character that matched more closely with those impressions made sense to do. But none of that changed old Nick Fury, nor his history.
