How data-driven do you consider your job? I know "does the book make money" is relatively cut and dry and "will this team work well on this new book I'm considering" is a real gut check. Do you use in-house metrics and more complex ways of making decisions, or is there still a lot of intuition required either because of the nature of the biz or legacy operations from the mom 'n pop days? Thanks!
There’s data-crunching involved, but it’s typically more about"can this creator complete this many pages worth of story in this much time" than it is about who to cast or what story to do. Those things can’t truly accurately be predicted by metrics–so it’s all gut-check.
