This isn't meant to be rude to DC Comics as I was a huge supporter of their New 52 but they lost me two years in. I was as big a fan of Bruce Wayne as I was Batman but like most their characters, their alter-egos seemed to just be cast aside while Marvel has found a way to combine the two without one overriding the one or the other. What was the successful thought behind making readers care for both with out losing those individual "normal" characters we all fell in love with?

As a general rule, the Marvel characters have always been more about the person inside the costume than the costume and the powers. So it’s maybe more a part of our fictional DNA than the DC books or those of other companies. That’s always at the forefront of our thinking.
