No one would praise letter's more than me, they are unsung heroes in the comics world. However the trend of using coloured boxes to indicate characters identity have made life difficult for me. Does this use get discussed with editors before going to print? A recent choice by a competitor was White Text on a Pale Grey Box for computers speaking in Judge Dredd that is virtually unreadable by myself. And Iron Man some time ago had Yellow text on a Green background that was also very difficult.

Everything gets approved by the editor, so the editor is ultimately responsible. And yes, sometimes the fact that you can do something leads you to not question whether you should do something.
