  • While reading the latest She-Hulk I came across something that gave me pause. In it, a guy in the 1940s knows Steve Rogers is Cap but, as far as I knew, Steve Rogers had a secret identity. So I'm curious when Steve actually got rid of the secret identity (which was, if I recall correctly, during the John Ney Rieber run but since 90% of that run isn't considered canon…), and has it since been retconned that he never had one? It always seemed ridiculous for him to have one but he did so…?

    Captain America’s secret identity was a secret until that CAP run that you’re talking about in the early 2000s.
