New Brevoort Formspring

Now that the first half of axis is done it seems clear that the red skull was a red herring and the real story is about the inversions. Was there any thought of having the red onslaught be finished in one issue. Like a double sized one and then issue 2 moves straight into the inversion. I know I would have been very shocked if red skull lost in issue 1 and issues 2 started a whole new plot.
