New Brevoort Formspring

I read all of my comics digitally these days, so I didn't even realize there were enhanced covers for the print editions for DoW. I understand that comic stores are the lifeblood of the industry, and you can't undercut them by pricing digital comics cheaper than print comics on release day. But when the cover price is increased to $4.99 due to special print production, why can't the digital comic be $3.99 since the digital reader isn't getting anything for that extra dollar? Seems fair to me.
