Hypothetically, if Marvel were ever to do a reboot, what do you think the advantages would be? The obvious answer is that decades of continuity would no longer be a burden, but Marvel hasn't seemed very burdened. (Want the original teenage X-Men back? Pull 'em up from the past. Want a black Nick Fury to match the movies? Here's one.)

There really aren’t many advantages that I can see, apart from just teh general excitement and terror that doing such a thing seems to generate among the fans and lapsed fans.
